Personal Game Projects

I am actively engaged in the development of multiple, personal game projects, including 'Creation Chronicles: Seven Hours' and 'Creation Chronicles: Fall of Icarus.' In both projects, I handle all aspects of game development, from design and level creation to sound design, UX design, and programming. As someone with Asperger's, I bring a unique perspective to my work, characterised by a strong focus and attention to detail. This perspective has empowered me to master the Unreal Engine, refine my storytelling skills, and explore new horizons in game development. My dedication to crafting immersive gaming experiences demonstrates my commitment to continuous learning and creative excellence, qualities that have been enhanced by my experiences.

Unpaid Game Development Work, Independent Game Developer

In a collaborative remote setting, I have been actively engaged in assisting an independent game developer with their project. This opportunity has allowed me to work closely with a team, even from a distance, where I receive specific design tasks and responsibilities. My role entails primarily level design, photoshop and testing. I am dedicated to delivering high-quality work within the project's scope.

Working closely with the developer, I make adjustments based on feedback and ensure that the project aligns with their creative vision. This experience has given me invaluable insights into collaborative game development and the iterative nature of the creative process. While this collaboration is unpaid due to funding constraints, it has been a rewarding learning experience, and I am enthusiastic about contributing to the project's success.

I played a pivotal role in the efficient operation of a high-volume restaurant during peak hours. I collaborated closely with kitchen staff to enhance the overall dining experience. My responsibilities extended to handling reservations, seating, and promptly addressing customer requests and concerns, resulting in improved customer satisfaction. This fast-paced environment allowed me to develop strong time management and customer service skills. Furthermore, my passion for food led me to progress into creating and serving desserts and other delectable dishes.

Creation Chronicles: Seven Hours and Creation Chronicles: Fall of Icarus

These games are set within the same universe, exploring the birth of a new sentient race known as creations. 'Seven Hours' delves into the origins of these creatures from the perspective of the original creator and first creation. In contrast, 'Fall of Icarus' takes place twenty years later, focusing on the impact of this new race on the world.

 

Creation Chronicles: Seven Hours 

 

Seven Hours is a point-and-click horror game emphasising time and resource management. Inspired by titles like Half Life's Black Mesa and John Carpenter's The Thing, it captures their tone, atmosphere, and setting. Borrowing from the gameplay structure of the first two Five Nights At Freddy’s games, it employs a risk-reward system where players hack into a security system to complete levels, all while fending off relentless monsters.

 

Creation Chronicles: Fall of Icarus 

 

Fall of Icarus pays homage to classic Valve titles like Portal and Half Life, while also revitalising previously scrapped concepts. This first-person shooter immerses players in an interactive narrative with an emphasis on storytelling, physics, and unique weapons. It prioritises player control for an immersive experience. A standout feature is the Nail Gun, allowing players to rewire electrical currents in the environment, akin to Half Life 2's gravity gun, serving both as a powerful tool for puzzles and a deadly weapon.

Culinary Explorer

For as long as I can remember, my love for video games has been unwavering. From my early days playing Spyro the Dragon to immersing myself in the virtual world of Half Life Alyx on a VR headset, games have been my constant inspiration. It was the iconic Valve games like Half-Life 1 and 2, and the Portal series- that ignited my passion for game design. My journey began with playing these classics and evolved into a deep fascination with game development. Having Aspergers has helped me to focus my passion into a reality. My dream is to contribute my skills and creativity to crafting legendary and innovative game titles.

 

I have a deep love for cinema and enjoy exploring various genres, from classic films like An Inspector Calls to the latest releases like Oppenheimer. The art of storytelling in movies greatly influences my approach to narrative design in games. Especially in terms of direction For example, in my point and click video game Seven Hours I took influence from the intro montage from Pixar’s up. 

 

Travelling has been a significant part of my life. I've had the privilege of visiting numerous countries, immersing myself in different cultures, and gaining a global perspective. These experiences inspire me to infuse my game worlds with cultural richness and authenticity. These include Greece, Spain, Italy, America, France, Hungary, Mexico, Canada, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Turkey and more. 

 

I'm an enthusiastic food lover who enjoys discovering new culinary delights. Exploring diverse cuisines, trying local dishes, and seeking out hidden gems in restaurants are some of my favourite pastimes. I discovered many of my favourite foods from travelling across the world and bringing them back home where I prepare them myself. My current favourite type of food to cook is Greek, most notably Gyros.
